About Voting
One Voice’s work with voting rights is rooted in two programs the MS Civic Engagement Roundtable and Election Protection Call Center. The Mississippi Civic Engagement Roundtable is a network of non-partisan organizations dedicated to achieving an inclusive, engaged, just, and equitable state for all Mississippians by increasing voter awareness and education. In partnership with the MS NAACP, our aim for the Election Protection Call Center is to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to participate in the political process by tracking election concerns and complaints through a central database.

2021 Elections
When you go to the polls to cast a ballot, you are exercising your right to vote. Unfortunately, many feel that voting isn’t necessary. However, one vote can make a difference. Your vote can be that difference. The municipal election is happening this year. The choice for Mayor, city councilman, and alderman is on the ballot. In the next election, go to the polls and let your voice be heard. Let’s make a difference in how our city is operated.
What is Election Protection?
For nearly a decade One Voice has conducted an Election Protection program with the Mississippi State Conference NAACP to help safeguard poll access to all eligible Mississippians. Election Protection has taken up the task of educating voters on the election process as well as anticipating, identifying, and responding to voter irregularities as they arise on Election Day.
